2020 has proven to be perhaps the most trying and tumultuous year in America on record. We are still dealing with a worldwide pandemic. As I sit here and write this article tonight we have national guardsman posted in several of our major cities. They’re enforcing a national curfew with riots breaking out all over. I would be remiss not to mention how devastating the current climate is in our country. At the same time, I would not feel right if I did not share some news that might provide you with a little hope
instead of hate, for the future.

Many parents/guardians of high school football players have expressed the challenges associated with the various football rating and ranking organizations. One of the biggest challenges parents face is the cost of traveling to camps and combines all over the country, just trying to get their child exposure to coaches and colleges.

Over the next five days you’re going to learn a lot about the STEALTH 5-Star Rating system. It doesn’t require parents or players to spend money traveling to so-called “college exposure camps,” or feel overlooked because they were not “invited” to attend the elite football camps. STEALTH simply requires a collaboration between the high school player and head coach to complete a survey style assessment. The assessment takes objective data validated by the head coach that when completed, generates a 5-Star rating highlighting the student-athlete’s work -ethic, character, academic profile, physical attributes and on-field performance achievements.

In our series called “The Recruiting Road,” we will highlight the top ten reasons a parent/guardian will like the STEALTH Rating system. We will unveil two reasons each night until we get to ten. What we hope you learn in this series is that there is real value in the ratings generated by STEALTH. These values speak to the values that we all want to see in our young people. Student-athletes who embrace these values provide the hope we need in a world that is a little chaotic and frightening for all right now. Let’s begin with the top two reasons parents will like the STEALTH 5-Star Rating system.

1. You can actually start the STEALTH Rating process for your kids right away with access to the assessment online. STEALTH is available to all football athletes, not just the ones who are elite, NCAA Division I level talent.

Once you are given a link to the assessment, you will be able to fill out the first portion of the assessment. The remainder of the assessment has to be completed by the high school coaching staff. Once the coaches have completed their portion of the assessment, an objective rating is produced and you have immediate access to the rating once it is made public on the STEALTH website.

2. At the conclusion of the assessment, parents will have a better understanding of how prepared their child is to be recruited at the college level.
