On the “Recruiting Road” Again: Top Ten Reasons High School Football Student-Athletes Should be STEALTH-Rated

HSPN Sports’ “The Recruiting Road” series on The STEALTH 5-Star Rating System wraps up this week with a look at the ‘Top Ten Reasons High School Student-Athletes Should be STEALTH- Rated.’ We’ve covered the reasons a parent/guardian would like The STEALTH 5-Star Rating System, along with the reasons high school coaches need to use The STEALTH 5-Star Rating System for their student-athletes as well. Our intent with the series was to show you the real value in the ratings generated by STEALTH. The criteria STEALTH uses for its rating assessment is quite common among college coaches who recruit high school athletes. Sometimes the criteria resonates differently to STEALTH’s users, the parents, the high school coaches, and ultimately the high school football athlete himself.

Over the next five days we will focus on the ten reasons high school football student-athletes should use the STEALTH 5-Star Rating System. They have identified several challenges associated with current high school rating systems. STEALTH was designed to address many of the challenges high school football student-athletes face in getting a fair and objective evaluation of their ability to play college football. Where most rating systems simply provide subjective reviews of an athlete’s physical ability, STEALTH is an objective assessment tool. Objective data is obtained in the form of a survey from the athlete, then validated by the head coach that when completed, generates a 5-Star rating highlighting the student-athlete’s work -ethic, character, academic, physical attributes and on-field performance achievements.

Lets look at what several high school football student-athletes feel are the top reasons for using the STEALTH 5-Star Rating System. We’ll start with the number one and two reasons:

1. No matter what your skill level is, no matter what position you play, every player can be STEALTH Rated.

One of the biggest challenges facing high school football student-athletes with current rating systems is that only a handful of the top players in the country are rated. Only about 2% of all high school football players ever get the chance to be rated. STEALTH provides access to any and all players.

2. A player can actually begin the rating process himself.

Once you are given a link to the assessment, you will be able to fill out the first portion of the assessment. The remainder of the assessment has to be completed by the high school coaching staff. Once the coaches have completed their portion of the assessment, an objective rating is produced and you have immediate access to the rating once it is made public on the STEALTH website.

Tomorrow night we’ll reveal number three and four of the top ten reasons high school football student-athletes should use The STEALTH 5-Star Rating System.
