STEALTH Rating Introduces Significant Upgrades For 2020

STEALTH Rating is the only assessment that objectively rates and ranks high school and junior college athletes. It was specifically designed by college coaches, for college coaches.

Those of you familiar with the STEALTH Rating system may not even know what S.T.E.A.L.T.H. stands for. It stands for Students Taking Education, Academics, and Life to Heart. You may not have even known that it serves junior college coaches and players as well. STEALTH cleverly, and quite intentionally weaves its values into a patented athlete rating system. Using the popular [popular because athletes know a rating is tied to potential college scholarships] and familiar “5-star” model, STEALTH Rating uses mathematical algorithms to objectively determine a high school, and junior college football player’s rating, which in turn provides enormous value to colleges decision makers and coaches.

STEALTH was built on preferences that college coaches and college decision makers wanted to see in the student-athletes they were recruiting. When you see a STEALTH-Rated athlete, and the number of stars associated with that athlete, you should understand two things. The athletes are being assessed based on what college coaches want to see, and the assessments are completed and validated by the athletes’ high school coaching staff. Theres is collaboration between the two most important entities in the recruiting process, the college coach, and the high school coach.

Recent upgrades to the program now make STEALTH an even more powerful tool for high school and junior college coaches. Coaches now have the ability to independently manage assessments for each of their athletes. STEALTH has added a private/public button allowing coaches to decide whether or not to “publish” an athlete’s rating onto STEALTH’s public website. If an athlete’s rating is questionably low, the coach and athlete can decide to keep the rating “private” until the rating has improved. This process will keep the rating from being seen by colleges and coaches until all parties are ready to “publish” the rating.

One of the more significant upgrades to the STEALTH Rating system is the addition the the ‘Coaches’ Dashboard.’ The ‘Dashboard’ now provides data identifying six critical “problem areas” any of their athletes might be experiencing. These “problem areas” can negatively affect an athletes’ rating, thereby reducing their college scholarship opportunities. ‘Problem areas’ can be seen, managed, discussed, and resolved through collaboration between coach and player. Resolving ‘problem areas’ could result in higher ratings for the athlete.

Lastly, some of the bugs that existed on the junior college platform have also been resolved as well. Junior college coaches can register online and add the name of their school into their profile. Once approved, they’ll receive a username and password, providing them access to their enhanced ‘Dashboard.’ The ‘Dashboard’ allows coaches to assess their athletes the same as high school coaches. SAT and ACT scores are not necessary when assessing junior college athletes.

In all, STEALTH’s recent upgrades and improvements cannot compare with the fact that the program remains free of charge to use. There is no fee for coaches to access their dashboard as often as needed. There is no fee involved to assess their athletes as often as needed. There is no fee for athletes to access the STEALTH Rating and Ranking website either.

In STEALTH, the star system is based on what high school coaches say
