HSPN WEST CALIFORNIA – 8th Ranked Servite Faces Test in Trinity League Opener

2017-10-05_1245Servite High [Anaheim, CA] has started the season red-hot with a perfect 5-0 record in the pre-season, and ranked 8th in the state of California going into league play tomorrow night.  Servite will face a formidable opponent in the JSerra Lions [San Juan Capistrano, CA] who happen to be ranked 10th in the state themselves.  Getting to 6-0 [1-0 league] will not be easy for the Friars, but that is the nature of what is arguably the most competitive high school football league in the country.2017-10-05_1650

The vaunted Trinity League is host to Mater Dei High School [Santa Ana, CA], the #2 ranked team in the nation according to USA Today.  St. John Bosco High School [Bellflower, CA] is the #5 ranked team in the country and 2017-10-05_1652Orange Lutheran High School, also 5-0 is the #20th ranked team in country and all play in the Trinity League together.  Oh by the way, Servite and JSerra are both undefeated at 5-0 as well.

HSPN West has this as the featured game of the week and will have coverage of the game before, during and after the contest. HSPN West correspondent David Hill spent time after yesterday’s practice with four of Servite’s ‘Impact Players,’ TJ McMahon, senior QB, Joe Christensen, senior LB, Deon Hurt, senior WR, and Julius Irvin, senior DB.
