Lineman Need Love Too: HSPN West to Cover 5-Star Pro Academy Lineman Camp

The irony of the “off-season” for high school football is that there really is no such concept as the “off-season.” If anything, the success of the regular seasons is predicated on how much time players spend in the off-season training and working on their skills.

So few of the camps are designed specifically for offensive and defensive linemen to develop and enhance their skill sets, with coaches who have been involved with the game at the highest levels. HSPN Sports West, the leader in high school sports coverage in Southern California and around the country, found one worthy of mention.

The 5-Star Pro Academy is hosting a “Lineman Football Challege” at Savanna High School in Anaheim, California on Saturday, March 10 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Sherman Cocroft, former San Jose State University Spartan football letterman and former NFL defensive back founded 5-Star Pro Academy and offers affordable training and development for all players and all positions throughout the Southern California area. Cocroft wants to provide the training to kids who cannot afford higher priced camps and he does this with the help of donners and sponsors, along with the volunteer time he and his fellow former NFL teammates offer to help train the players.

HSPN Sports West will be present at the event to bring you highlights and in-depth interviews of top players from the camp. Savanna High is located at 301 N. Gilbert Ave., Anaheim, CA 92801. Go to www.5StarProAcademy.com, or contact Sherman Cocroft at sherman@5StarProAcademy.com for more information. Tune in and subscribe to HSPN YouTube and look for tweets coming from the camp @hspnsports.
