Piper High School, Sunrise, Florida, Set the Bar High in District 8A-11 Winning and Remaining Undefeated 8-0

The Bengals made the ride north to play District rival Coral Springs High School with a perfect 7-0 record and left with a resounding victory 34-8 over the Colts and remain the only undefeated team in District 8A-11 at 8-0. The Bengals combine 377 yds in total offense while their defense held the Colts to only one TD.

The HSPN ‘Player of the Game’ was awarded to junior QB RaShawn Fraser who passed for 289 yds with 4 TD’s and rushed for 59 yds and 1 TD.

Other’s on the receiving end of the ball were Dayvon Medina (Impact Player) with 3 reception for 95 yds and 1 TD that went for 81 yds, Shandon Marsden with 2 receptions for 94 yds with 1 that went for 74 yds, JaQuez Geffrard with 1 reception for 8 yds and 1 TD, Raevon Clarke with 2 receptions for 25 yds and 1 TD and Tyler Adderley  with 2 receptions for 25 yds and 1 TD.

Next week will be the big District 8A-11 showdown when the Bengals meet the Bucks for the District Crown. Both teams are unbeaten in the District play and look to move forward into the playoff brackets. Like the Bengals the Bucks have explosive offensive firepower led by senior QB Teddrick Moffett, Jr. (last week’s HSPN ‘Player of the Game’). We’ll see who’s defense shows up to play because we all know that defenses win championships…
