Listen to Coach Willis May as he talks about the misperceptions he encounters (that student athletes need to understand) to help them along the recruiting process. He explains that the reality is is that most of the recruiting process is out of a head coach’s control that the student athlete needs to focus on being a good player and have a great GPA.  Coach May talks about one of the most important thing that the athletes need to focus on is their Character and to understand that before a college is willing to sign a student athlete for $100k scholarship they are going to pay close attention to their social media to see if they have Character issues.

Then Coach May got to talk about his favorite thing, his Players. I don’t believe I’ve talked to a High School Coach in the country that loves his kids more and loves to talk and brag about his kids more than Coach May.

And I also got to ask him where he got the name ‘Peanut’ from and he told me that it was his father’s name that his father named him and that he was very proud of his father and loved him very much.

Don’t miss the intriguing conversation with one of the top High School Coaches in Broward County, Head Coach Willis Peanut May, Stoneman Douglas Eagles.
