DEERFIELD BUCKS COME OFF HUGE VICTORY OVER #2 NATIONALLY RANKED ST. THOMAS TO PLAY DISTRICT RIVAL DOUGLAS EAGLES

Deerfield BucksIt was a huge win for the Deerfield Beach Bucks program and Head Coach Jevon Glenn as the Bucks defeated the #2 Nationally Ranked St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders last Friday night by a score of 6-3 with both defenses dominating the game.

In order for the Bucks to stay on top of District 8A (with undefeated Piper High School) they will have to defeat the Eagles away this Friday night (live on HSPN SPORTS) as they travel cross town to Parkland, FL. This will be the Eagles 2nd District game in a row.  They came up short last week losing a hard fought battle in a District game against Piper High School 13-7. To stay in the playoff hunt the Eagles will need a win Friday night against the Bucks.

The Bucks are led by transfer QB Teddrick Moffett with 44 competitions, 517 yds and 7 TD’s as well as 280 Rushing yds and 5 TD’s. The Eagles defense will have to contain Moffett in the pocket, play great coverage or the game could get out of hand early. Teddrick is a multi purpose QB that is a threat throwing to his favorite targets Jerry Jeudy (4TD) and Cavin Ridley (1TD) as well as having no problem tucking the ball on a zone read and picking up big yardage on the run. So far the Bucks have dominated their 2 District opponents scoring over 90 points while their defense giving up only 2 points.

The Deerfield Bucks come into Friday nights game 2-0 in the District and 5-1 Overall. The Douglas Eagles come into Friday nights game 1-1 in the District and 2-4 Overall.
