Bosco is Best in the Land and Servite Looks to Spoil in Friday Night Matchup

The world of high school football once again turns its eyes on Southern California for yet another match-up featuring the number one-ranked team in the nation. The St. John Bosco Braves (Bellflower, CA), meet their Trinity league rival, Servite Friars (Anaheim, CA) on Friday night at Parish Family Stadium. This one is particularly special to me because Servite happens to be my alma mater.

The Braves come into the final week of the high school season with a 9–0 record, registering a signature win over defending national champions, Mater Dei High School (Santa Ana, CA) just a couple of weeks ago. Servite comes into the final week of the season ranked 23rd in the state with a 4-4 record.

While the records of each of the schools would lead you to believe that the game will be a mismatch, any team in the Trinity League is capible of pulling an upset and this will force Bosco to be at their very best. The Trinity League is considered to be perhaps the most competitive high school league in the country, with several of the teams in the league ranked in the top 25 nationally.
